While we take great pains to ensure the longevity and permanence of our work, the attractiveness of a natural leather piece is, no doubt, due to a constantly changing appearance. From sun exposure, to everyday handling, a natural handmade bag acquires a unique character based on the habits of its wearer. While this is not for everyone, a well-worn natural leather piece carries a sophistication that cannot be faked — and when you start with high-quality materials, a beautifully mature patina is almost guaranteed with time.
Up until this point, our only hesitation in offering a natural messenger has been that we never had the foresight to keep one around and photograph an aesthetic progression — but starting today, we will be documenting the entire lifespan. Today, starting with the making of a natural messenger, we hope to have many more photographs coming soon. And most importantly, we hope to have the product shots ready in the next 1-2 weeks.
If you are considering a natural bag, please know, while the leather is not dyed, it is still treated with the same level of care as our other offerings. Further, it is the same thick leather stock — meaning, it is not the type of bag that will ever lose its shape.
