Workshop: Introduction to Leatherwork

Step into the studio and explore the craft of leatherwork in this beginner friendly workshop. Perfect for complete beginners or anyone curious about working with leather, this hands on session introduces you to essential tools, materials, and foundational techniques in a relaxed and inspiring environment.

Working with minimal equipment and simple patterns, you will create a small handcrafted piece such as a cardholder or keychain while building a strong foundation of skills to carry into future projects. You will learn how to prepare your leather, cut clean lines, bevel and burnish edges, saddle stitch by hand, install small hardware, and add simple design modifications that make the piece uniquely your own.

By the end of the session, you will leave with a finished piece and the confidence to continue exploring leatherwork, whether on your own or in one of our more advanced Studio Sessions such as The Essential Small Leather Bag or Design and Build a Classic Structured Work Bag.
